Dorota Olsavska
is a cultural anthropologist and writer based between Rotterdam and Seoul. She has thorough experience in social research. Her work is dedicated to cultural expressions of resistance and identity. In the process, she embraces experimental creative approaches. She graduated in Cultural Anthropology with BSc from Leiden University and MSc from Amsterdam University. During her studies, she completed Honours College track for exceptional students, received the Speckman Award for outstanding fieldwork and took a visiting semester at Sungkyunkwan University. Gerrit Rietveld Academie published her poetry collection. Her master thesis project was qualitative research fieldwork with the underground music community in Seoul: tracing its life and transformation through stories, events and photos.
